Full strategy, content system and production for an elite volleyball performance coach entering the English-speaking market from zero followers.
The client is a former professional volleyball champion turned strength & conditioning coach, with international certifications and a proven training system. He had built a 17K-follower audience in his home market, in his native language, with a large library of educational content.
The problem: zero presence in the English-speaking market, where his methodology could reach a global audience of athletes and coaches. Three real constraints made it harder: the client does not speak English, his existing content was all in another language, and the niche is dominated by "exercise pages" that compete on volume, not depth.
Before producing a single post, I built the strategic foundation. I analyzed 6 reference accounts in the niche (from 54K to 800K followers) and found the gap: everyone sells exercises, nobody owns the connection between testing, individualized training and long-term athlete development. That empty lane became the brand.
Three levels: entry doors (pain and jumping, the topics athletes actually search), the system (testing and individualization), and the mentor layer (athlete stories, coach education).
A weekly mix of 2 Reels, 2 carousels and 1 identity post, each mapped to a pillar and a funnel level, planned in a 4-week editorial calendar of 20 posts.
Instead of asking the client for new material, I audited his existing library and built a translation-and-redesign pipeline. Three weeks of content produced with zero new filming.
Every technical claim traced back to a confirmed source: the client's own published posts, his written principles, or his direct confirmation. No invented sports science.
Client briefing, audience definition (4 segments), positioning statement, tagline and bio. Delivered as an interactive strategy site the client approves from his phone.
Six-account teardown: what to borrow, where the client wins, realistic growth benchmarks, and two collaboration opportunities identified for future phases.
20-post monthly calendar with hooks, formats, sources and CTAs per post. Copywriting in simple, direct English. Design direction for carousels and covers following the client's brand system.
The client doesn't speak English, so I built a voice pipeline: transcribe his original videos, verify the technical content, translate the script, and generate his cloned voice in English using AI tools. His knowledge, his voice, new language.
Fixed publishing schedule optimized for the target audience, comment management protocol, weekly client approval rhythm, and analytics review feeding the next month's plan.
Data from Instagram Insights, account launched two weeks earlier with zero followers. Client identity kept private by agreement.
And iteration works: after reading the first Insights, I adjusted the Reel structure (faster cuts, shorter on-screen text). Average watch time doubled from 7 to 14 seconds on the next method Reel, with a 1.6% save ratio.
"I saw the results, they look really good. I really enjoy working with you and truly appreciate everything you're doing."
The client, two weeks after launch
Beyond the numbers, the real outcome is a repeatable system: the client now has a positioning, a content engine that recycles his existing library, a voice pipeline that removes his language barrier, and a monthly rhythm of planning, production and review. After the first results, the client expanded the collaboration to a second project.
Every post has a hook, a source and a job to do. That is how a brand grows from zero.
